HE NODS, raising a finger at his OWN matter-of-factness when he speaks on the subject of ‘discipline’ in the work place. KARTER KANE was no fool, he commanded respect from his employees and associates primarily because HE was the one who had the museum’s BOARD in a choke hold. He had made himself indispensable to a point in which none of the board could do a THING that wouldn’t result in disaster without him.
AS TEDIOUS as it was in his opinion, HE had control.
